The Ghost PLUZ is public land West of Cochrane and east of Banff National Park and the Don Getty Wildland Provincial Park. The area is used for forestry, agriculture, oil and gas and recreation.
McLean Creek PLUZ is a medium-sized Public Land Use Zone spanning approximately 202 square kilometers (78 square miles) across the southern, eastern slopes of the Alberta Rockies.
Kananaskis Country is a multi-use area west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada in the foothills and front ranges of the Canadian Rockies. Within Kananaskis are the McLean Creek, Sibbald Snow and Cataract Creek PLUZ's
Eastern Slopes of the Rocky Mountains, in the SW corner of the province west of Lethbridge. From the Willow Creek (Indian Graves area) near Chain Lakes to south of Hwy #3 in the Crowsnest Pass, encompassing much of the Lower Kananaskis.
The Bighorn Backcountry is subdivided into 6 Public Land Use Zones (PLUZs) including Blackstone, Wapiabi, Dormer Sheep, Job/Cline, Kiska/Willson, Panther Corners, Upper Clearwater/Ram
There are more than 15 PLUZ zones in Alberta with varying amounts of OHV trails.
